English and Polish text
At the beginning of 1937, engineer Bronisław Żurakowski developed a sanitary version designated RWD-13S at the design office of the Experimental Aviation Workshops. These aircraft were used in civil aviation (aeroclubs, aviation schools) as well as in the military. In September 1939, the RWD-13S took part in transporting medical supplies to encircled Polish units. The longest-serving Polish-designed aircraft in World War II was the RWD-13S, which is the subject of this study.
Period photographs, 1/48 scale plans, and color profiles.
